Webber Collection

The Webber Collection contains the papers of Ebbert T. (Bert) Webber (1921-2006).  Bert Webber described himself as a research photojournalist. He was a writer, historian, journalist, and a librarian. Between 1967 and 2003 he wrote or cowrote eighty-six books including three pertaining to Bayocean in Tillamook County. What happened at Bayocean: is Salishan next? came out in 1973; Maimed by the sea: erosion along the coasts of Oregon and Washington cowritten with Margie Webber (his wife) and published in 1983; Bayocean: the Oregon town that fell into the sea also cowritten with Margie in 1989.

This collection is the research, correspondence, and photographic documentation on the writing of these books. It is composed of nine boxes of files. The finding aide lists the content of each folder in order.
